神奈川県・葉山にある総合研究大学院大学、いわゆる総研大で、国際シンポジウムがこの日から２日間にわたって始まりました。
この2014年3月末で高畑尚之学長が退任されたことを記念したシンポジウムで、通称「タカハタ・シンポジウム」と呼ばれています。
高畑学長は、副学長・学長を合わせて13年間それらの職にありました。心から「お疲れさまでした！」と申し上げたいと思います。
葉山は、総研大のヘッドコーターとしてだけではなく、先導研究科の拠点として大きな発展を遂げています。
